A night out of bidding and tasty tidbits will benefit Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
The annual Bid for Kids Sake and Battle of the Hors D'oeuvres will be raising money for the Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, and area branch.
Resource Coordinator Heather Brekelmans says the Battle of Hor D'oeuvres is sure to whet some appetites.
"So there's several judges that come in from outside the local area that judge the individual battle participants hor d'ouvres. And then similarly all participants vote on a card for their tasty little bite sized morsels as to which was their favourite."
Brekelmans says this is a great opportunity for people to connect person to person.
"A lot of people get caught up in how phones really replace a lot of social activities and this is then all in person come on out and be there type of event that brings awareness to the importance of mentoring, but also raises funds to make mentoring possible."
The event is happening on November 25th starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and can be bought on the Big Brothers Big Sisters website or by calling 519-485-1801.
