Members of the Brant OPP, Brant Fire Department and Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services collected lots of donations for the Community Christmas Toy and Hamper Program this year.
BRANT COUNTY - You may have spotted some police officers, firefighters or paramedics if you went grocery shopping in Brant County over the past couple of weekends.
The Brant OPP partnered up with the Brant Fire Department and Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services for a food and toy donation drive last weekend and the weekend before. They collected donations outside Burford Foodland, Nick's No Frills in Paris, the Sobeys in Paris and St. George Foodtown.
Committee Chair Shirley Simons says all of the donations will be going to the 2021 Community Christmas Toy and Hamper Program.
"The Christmas Hamper program is once again looking forward to helping residents have a great Christmas. Last year we served approximately 165 families in our community. Our hampers will be distributed Friday, December 17, 10:00am to 1:00pm from the Paris Fairgrounds. On behalf of the committee, "Thank You" to everyone for sharing and making it possible for many happy faces at Christmas time in our community."
