A $25,000 donation from the Cowan Foundation will benefit the Pete Lavoie Ball Diamond in Paris.
PARIS - The County of Brant is thrilled to accept a $25,000 cheque from the Cowan Foundation for the Pete Lavoie Ball Diamond in Paris.
This money will be used to renovate the Little League Diamonds as part of the Lions Park Paris 'Field of Continuing Dreams Project.'
President of Cowan Insurance Heather McLachlin explains why the Foundation decided to donate the funds.
"Donating to this outstanding ballpark aligns with our Foundation's goals focused on youth, health and wellness. While at the same time, it provides an opportunity to contribute to a project that matters to local residents, organizations and businesses, many of which are clients and business partners of Cowan Insurance Group or Frank Cowan Company."
Thanks to the Cowan Foundation the campaigns fundraising goal is now 77% complete.
Construction of the ball diamond portion of the project has moved along nicely. The entire project will be completed next spring just in time for baseball season.
