The Little Free Pantry in Paris offers food and essential supplies to anyone in the community who needs it. Recently they were given a $500 donation from the OPP and Brant Police Services Board.
BRANT COUNTY - The Brant Police Services Board and the Brant OPP have donated $500 to our Little Free Pantry in Paris.
Mayor David Bailey says they are encouraging everyone to donate to the Little Free Pantry this holiday season.
“The people of the County of Brant are always up to something good. This is a community who takes care of each other and ‘Our Little Free Pantry’ is an excellent example of how neighbours help neighbours. I encourage everyone this holiday season to
consider what you can do to brighten someone’s day.”
Pantry Representative Susan Bailey says friends of the Little Free Pantry do what they can to contribute, when they can and collectively, the community keeps a watchful eye on the pantry to ensure it is well-stocked.
“Little Free Pantries have been popping up throughout Canada as a way for local citizens to help others who are experiencing food insecurity. Little Free Pantries are stocked with food, toiletries and other basic items. It is a simple approach to help others. People in the community can access the resource anytime.”
Our Little Free Pantry is located outside the Paris Optimist Club building at 2 Elm Street in Paris and is accessible to all.
The County of Brant is asking everyone to do what you can to give back this holiday season. It doesn't have to be a financial contribution, calling an isolated senior or shoveling a driveway can go a long way too.
