Local Linesman Brad Kovachik heading to the Olympics
Another career highlight is coming up for Woodstock-born linesman, Brad Kovachik.
Kovachik has been named to the Olympic roster of referees for the hockey tournament at the Sochi games.
Kovachik is one of 14 linesman and 28 total officials named today to the tournament crew.
The announcement was made by the International Ice Hockey Federation.
Kovachik brings 17-years of NHL experience in over 1000 games.
The Olympic hockey tournament runs February 12th-23rd.
