Ontario is reporting 4 COVID-19 related deaths this morning, the lowest number of recorded deaths in almost a year.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 574 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 538,651.
The Province confirmed 4 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,935. Another 850 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 523,532.
The province completed 28,949 tests yesterday. We currently have 489 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 440 people in the ICU and 292 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 109 new cases in Toronto, 84 in Peel, 79 in Waterloo, 51 in Porcupine and 31 in Hamilton.
