We currently have 19,424 active cases of COVID-19 in Ontario after the Province confirmed 2,408 new cases this morning and 2,242 recoveries.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,408 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 162,663.
The province also confirmed another 41 COVID-19 related deaths today, bringing the total to 4,229. Meanwhile another 2,242 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 139,010.
The province completed 56,660 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,002 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 275 people in the ICU and 186 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases continue to come from hot spots in the Province with 629 new cases in Toronto, 448 in Peel, 234 in Windsor-Essex County, 190 in York Region and 150 in Hamilton.
