The Brant OPP seized $18,000 worth of drugs and about $7,000 worth of equipment that could produce illegal firearms last week.
PARIS/BRANTFORD - Six people have been arrested and charged after the Brant OPP uncovered about $18,000 worth of drugs recently.
Officers executed three search warrants in Paris and Brantford last Thursday where they seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, and cocaine.
They also found several 3D printers and a computer, as well as equipment that could produce illegal firearm receivers, a homemade mold for bullets, and lead bullets that were made from that mold. All of these items have a combined value of $7,000.
All of the suspects live in Brantford or Brant County.
Officers charged a 32-year-old and a 41-year-old with possession of a controlled substance.
A 38-year-old is facing five counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, while a 39-year-old is facing two counts of the same charge.
A 36-year-old has been charged with trafficking a firearm, weapon, device, or ammunition, as well as two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
A 52-year-old is also facing one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon, two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and one count of failing to comply with probation.
