London Police have arrested a 22 year-old man following an alleged attempted abduction of a 5 year-old girl. Police are still investigating the incident that occurred late Sunday afternoon at the Gibraltar Trade Centre in the city's east end. According to reports, the man took the young girl by the hand but let go and fled when he was confronted. The suspect raced off from the scene on roller blades. However, police arrested the man Monday on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a prohibited weapon. The weapon charges are related to his arrest and not the abduction as police say no weapons were used during that incident. The suspect remains in custody.
