Staff and students within the TVDSB will be able to get tested for COVID-19 at an asymptomatic testing clinic in Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - The Thames Valley District School Board will continue to facilitate voluntary COVID-19 testing during Spring Break and remote learning.
The first clinic to hit Woodstock is happening this Thursday April 15th at WCI. The TVDSB is also hosting clinics on Friday at Parkside Collegiate in St. Thomas and Saturday at Montcalm Secondary School in London.
Testing clinics will be held from 10am to 2pm and it is open to all Thames Valley students and staff as well as children and staff from child care centres at TVDSB schools. Results usually take between 24-48 hours.
Education Director Mark Fisher says they're encouraging all students and staff to continue to follow public health guidelines.
"It's very important for students to continue to follow good public health practices while they are not at school so that we can re-open our schools and return to in-person learning as soon as possible. Families may also wish to consider asymptomatic COVID-19 testing available this week to all Thames Valley students and staff."
Do not attend these clinics if your child has symptoms or has been identified by your Health Unit as a high-risk close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. This is for asymptomatic testing only.
There is no pre-registration. Registration is on a walk-in basis only.
The TVDSB will continue to offer clinics at least twice a week during remote learning.
