WOODSTOCK - One month to the day of ending their season with a loss, The Woodstock Navy Vets feel like they have won, with their hiring of a new General Manager.
The new addition to staff is no stranger to junior hockey. The organization says Matt Fidlin brings an array of experience, knowledge and passion to the game.
His impressive resume includes starting his career off as an area scout with the Paris Mounties, he then became the assistant GM for the Kitchener Dutchmen, where he was also the team's Head Scout. Most recently he was the GM of the Waterloo Siskins who won their first Sutherland Cup in 25 years with Fidlin at the helm.
Fidlin's new position as the Navy Vets GM caps off a 12 year climb up in the hockey world.
