Woodstock police briefs include a couple of shoplifting reports, two stolen bikes and a 22-year-old man from Montreal facing a list of charges.
WOODSTOCK - A 22-year-old from Montreal, Quebec is facing a list of charges in the Friendly City.
Officers arrested him early Tuesday morning following reports of two men trying to break into vehicles in the Oxford Road 17 and Somme Street area. They arrested him on outstanding warrants and charged him with obstructing a peace officer.
He was later found driving a vehicle without license plates on Queenston Boulevard hours later. Officers pulled him over and charged him with the following offenses:
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin
- Possession of an Identity Document (two counts)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (four counts)
- Class G1 License Holder – Unaccompanied by Qualified Driver
- Drive Motor Vehicle – No Plates
- Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance
- Alter Permit

WOODSTOCK - A 28-year-old Woodstock man is facing drug possession charges following reports of a shoplifter at a store on Dundas Street near Springbank.
Officers arrived at the scene Monday afternoon, and arrested the suspect, who also had a number of outstanding warrants. Police say the man was carrying suspected purple fentanyl at the time of the arrest.

WOODSTOCK - A 46-year-old woman has been charged with theft under $5,000 following a shoplifting report in the Friendly City.
Woodstock Police officers were called to a store on Dundas Street, close to Springbank Ave, at around 8:20 p.m. on Monday. They spotted a woman matching the suspect's description driving off and she was later arrested.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are asking for your help after a string of bike thefts earlier this week.
Police say someone stole a sky blue bike in the Huron Street and Knightbridge area, sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Another bike was taken from an enclosed porch on Naskapi Street street sometime between 11:00 p.m. on Monday and 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. That bike is described as a black Norco Bigfoot with lime green writing. It also has line green stripes on the tires.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are warning drivers to stay alert.
They along with members of the London, St. Thomas, Stratford, Strathroy-Caradoc and Aylmer police services - conducted a traffic blitz here in Woodstock on Monday. They targetted school zones and high traffic areas.
A number of charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act - including speeding, failure to wear a setbelt and running red lights.
