WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have a number of events planned to celebrate police week which wraps up on Sunday. This Thursday they will be at the Downtown Woodstock Farmers Market for a meet and greet and police demonstrations. Joining them will be the RCMP, OPP and other community partners at Museum Square from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Constable Nikki VanLeeuwen says they will have two officers live tweeting occurrences in the city on Friday from 12 - 4 p.m. using the #PoliceWeekONT. The constables will be live tweeting all of the occurrences they are going to, including things like B&E's, crashes and other calls for service. Police Week provides opportunities for police and the community to join together to celebrate policing and to talk about public safety issues that affect the health and safety of all our communities.
