Cory Stewart has dropped his debut album TOV featuring 17 excellent tracks broken into 3 acts, the acts are betrayal, heartbreak and survival.

WOODSTOCK - A local musician and songwriter has dropped his debut album.

Cory Stewart joined Heart FM mornings with Dan and Marcie today to chat about his new album TOV.

"It's 17 tracks, which is ambitious but I wanted to make sure that when I did it the first time, I did it right. It is broken into 3 acts, the acts are betrayal, heartbreak and survival, which are 3 reoccurring themes in my life."

Stewart explains the album name TOV.

"At the beginning of the pandemic, one of my very good friends Tovah, we actually lost to stage 4 stomach cancer. At that time I didn't have an album title and I thought what can I name this album that I know I will love forever and obviously TOV is a name I will love forever and it also means good in Hebrew, which is subliminal messaging on my part."

The last song on the album is a tribute to Tovah's young daughter Harper, who was born just 1 year after she passed away. Stewart says he poured his heart and soul into this album.

"I'm so proud of it, it took over 3 years to put together, I worked with my long time writing partner Gavin Bradley as well as some people in the LGBTQ+ music community, as well as some friends that I met in the States during the community. It's a mix of some really fun dance tracks with some sentimental songs."

Cory Stewart has enjoyed a great music career thus far and the sky is the limit for the Woodstonian. Stewart is eager to get back on the stage and can't wait to start performing again. One of his highlights recently was opening for Boy George in Montreal a couple of years ago.

Signed Physical copies of his CD are available at the Record Works in Downtown Woodstock. You can also find the album on all of the major streaming platforms including Apple Music, and Spotify.
