A local woman's pennies are going a long way to help those in our community. Back in May, Diane Bragg decided to start gathering pennies from her home and her co-workers to donate to a local charity. Bragg says the idea came from an article she read in a local newspaper. She says the article came out just after it was announced the government would no longer be making the penny and encouraged penny hoarders to donate their stash to charity. Bragg then took her idea to work asking co-workers to help her raise money during the month of May. At the end of the month, Bragg and her Vuteq Canada co-workers had $487.57 that they recently decided to donate to Sakura House.
