Engineering and Public Works offices on James Street will undergo a renovation project that should take about eight months to complete.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock will temporarily relocate its Engineering and Public Works offices.
The building on James Street will undergo some renovations to expand the office space. The City says the upgrades will help accommodate the growing workforce with accessible washrooms as well as structural and electrical service upgrades.
The James Street offices will be unavailable to the public after 1:00 p.m. this Friday and the work should take about eight months to complete. This means the offices should reopen in late spring 2025 if everything goes as planned.
All customer service staff will be relocated to the Market Centre building while the work is being done, so you'll have to go there for the following services:
- Buy garbage bag tags (also available online).
- Buy recycling bins, rain barrels or composters.
- Buy transit passes.
- Questions regarding residential water meters.
- Pay for parking tickets (also available online).
- Apply for a building permit (also available online)
- Questions about bylaw, building, engineering, and public works services.
You'll be able to access Engineering and Public Works services at the Market Centre building starting Monday September 30th, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
