This agreement will save the season. The deal still needs to ratified by both parties, which is expected to be a formality.
MLB put forward their offer today and when it gets ratified players will be able to report to Spring Training as early as tomorrow.
This also means MLB will have a 162 game schedule, starting in April. Free agency will begin as soon as the deal is official.
