Canadian hockey legend Bobby Hull has passed away at the age of 84.
NHL - Hockey fans are mourning the loss of another Canadian legend.
The NHL Alumni Association announced this morning that Bobby Hull has passed away at the age of 84.
His pro-hockey career lasted 23 years. During that time he played for the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and Hartford Whalers and the World Hockey Association's Winnipeg Jets.
He helped the Blackhawks win their first Stanley Cup in 23 years back in 1961. He also became the first player in NHL history to score more than 50 goals in a single season back in 1966. He scored 54 goals that season and went on to score 58 goals a couple of seasons later.
Before his pro hockey career, Hull played minor hockey in Belleville. He became a part of the Junior B Woodstock Warriors team back in 1954, and led the Warriors to the Sutherland Cup in 1955.
The NHL Alumni Association is deeply saddened to learn that Bobby Hull has passed away at the age of 84.
