
GM Cami employees in Ingersoll will head back to work on Monday for the first time in months because of a global semiconductor chip shortage.
INGERSOLL - Employees at the GM Cami plant will return to work on Monday.
They had been shut down for months because of a global semiconductor chip shortage.
Maintenance staff returned to work this week and then everyone will be welcome back at the plant starting on Monday. This will also impact all of the parts factories, who supply CAMI.
Thousands of people will be going back to work with this news.
The plant summer shutdowns will remain in place for the week of July 5 and the week of July 12.
