Canada Wins First Gold Medals at Paris Paralympics

Team Canada has won 12 medals so far with two gold, four silver and six bronze.

PARIS - Team Canada now has two gold medals at the Paris Paralympics.

Cody Fournie won gold in the men's 200m T51 wheelchair racing this morning. Nicholas Bennett also won gold in the men's SB14 100-metre breaststroke yesterday.

Team Canada has now secured 12 medals so far with two gold, four silver and six bronze. We were ranked 24th overall as of 6:40 a.m. today and you can find the medal breakdown online here.

Tillsonburg's very own Charlotte Bolton placed 10th in the women's F41 shotput on Friday and she will be competing in the F41 Discus Throw tomorrow morning.
