
Oxford County's Garrett Riley and the rest of the Canadian men's para ice hockey team will advance to the semifinals after they shutout Korea 6-0 at the Beijing Paralympics.
BEIJING - The Canadian men's para ice hockey team has secured a spot in the semifinals after celebrating a 6-nothing win over Korea at the Beijing Paralympics.
James Dunn scored three goals for the Canadians and Oxford County's Garrett Riley assisted one of those goals.
Meanwhile, Mark Arendz won a para biathlon gold medal overnight. He finished in first place for the men's middle distance standing discipline. The 32-year-old from Hartsville, PEI has now won 10 Paralympic medals throughout his career and this is his second gold medal.
Team Canada has now secured 13 medals at the Beijing Paralympics so far; five gold, two silver and six bronze.
