A Delhi couple were enjoying a nice Sunday evening on their porch when a car slammed into their home.
DELHI - Two people were enjoying a nice Sunday evening on their porch when a car came crashing into their home in Delhi.
Police say the car left the roadway and slammed into the house on Queen Street just after 7:00 pm last night. Police say a 60 year old woman and 69 year old man were on the porch at the time of the crash and both suffered non life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital. The driver a 42 year old man from Norfolk was also injured in the crash and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver was heading westbound on Pine Street when he lost control and slammed into the front porch. He has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
