A CH-147F Chinook helicopter will fly over the private memorial service for Captain David Domagala today.
WOODSTOCK - A Royal Canadian Airforce CH-147F Chinook helicopter will fly over the Friendly City today to honour a fallen hero.
Woodstock's very own Captain David Domagala was one of the two people who died when a helicopter crashed near Petawawa two weeks ago. He was 32-years-old and he died alongside 53-year-old Captain Marc Larouche.
A private memorial service for Captain Domagala will be held at Holy Trinity Parish today and the Chinook helicopter will fly over at around 12:00 p.m. Officials say the helicopter will fly at least 300 feet above the highest obstacles in the area.
A funeral guard from the 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron will also perform a rifle volley during the service.
A memorial service for Captain Larouche will be taking place in Petawawa this Friday.
