The Salvation Army will have Christmas Kettles at multiple retail stores in the community starting this Thursday.
WOODSTOCK - The Salvation Army in Woodstock is back with a familiar campaign.
Church and Community Ministries Director, Captain Kristen Gray has the details.
"Our Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign launches on Thursday, November 16th. So, folks will start seeing the kettles in the retail stores around the community."
She adds, that even if you don't have cash to put into the kettles, you are still able to donate if you would like.
Each kettle will have a tap option, which takes debit or credit, and has options of $5, $10, or $20.
You are able to tap 10 times per kettle.
Gray mentions the campaign can't be run unless there are volunteers willing to put in work.
"We do typically 2 hour shifts at the kettles. So, it is not a lot of time. It is also a great opportunity for businesses or organizations to support as a team."
If you are interested in volunteering, call the Salvation Army at 519-539-9345 and ask for Jen who is the Kettle Coordinator.
Gray says they are hoping to get some new volunteers this year, as they want to be able to reach their goal, and make sure every family is able to enjoy the holiday's.
