Judges will select finalists July 10th and the 17th
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is looking to hand out awards to local businesses who are doing their best to make the Friendly City Shine.
They are accepting nominations for the City Beautiful Awards. Parks and Recreation supervisor Chris Kern says the awards will be given to local businesses who have gone above and beyond to make Woodstock a beautiful place to live. "Being within the city of Woodstock limits, visibility from an adjoining municipal street, so if your on a corner they have two views to look at, the properties are nominated either by outside parties or by us."
Kearn says it could be from decorating your storefront, to improving your landscape or making a conscious effort to make your business and in turn the city more attractive to the eye. Judges will select the finalists on July 10th and the 17th and the awards will be handed out at the first council meeting in September. Nominations can be submitted to the Parks and Rec Department at Southside Park or by calling Glennis Hill at 519-539-1291 ext 4101.
