City Council Sells Land

There were sales of land approved by the Woodstock City Council. Two different companies will be coming into the city, which will create jobs.

WOODSTOCK - It was a busy day for Woodstock Council.

Their first meeting of 2024 was last night, and the gallery was packed with residents.

Mayor, Jerry Acchione says the sale of land was a big topic of interest.

"We've got a business that is coming to town that has bought about 14 acres, and about 300 employees."

The business is High Noon Investment Corporation and will be looking to build a 113-thousand-square-foot facility in the Aleya Street area of the City.

The company works with food processing and the local agricultural sector.

Acchione also talks about another sale that was approved.

"Another 5-acre piece that is brand new to this area, that's going to be great for this employment area."

VALO BioMedia was sold the land on Jack Ross Ave, and they plan to build a new facility of over 42-thousand square feet, it would serve as the Canadian Headquarters and expand its vaccine industry operations.
