Woodstock City Council has hired Grant Hodges & Sons Painters to repaint the basin at the Southside Aquatic Centre.
WOODSTOCK - The Southside Aquatic Centre in Woodstock is getting some work done.
Mayor Trevor Birtch says City Council has agreed to spend just over $58,000 to remove and repaint the basin of the Centre.
"We will be painting the basin with a special sealer and of course with the chlorine and chemicals involved, it is a very interesting and unique solution."
Birtch says they wanted to get this work done now.
"It will be applied right now, which is a good time as the Centre unfortunately is unable to see visitors."
The City has hired a local contractor to get the job done; Grant Hodges & Son Painters.
