Woodstock Police were busy this weekend, responding to 7 collisions in a 7-hour period

Woodstock Police are looking for an SUV driver that hit a riding lawn mower on the weekend.

Saturday evening, around 7:15PM, a dark coloured SUV attempted to turn south onto Light St. from Devonshire.  The driver took the corner too fast and drove up on the curb, hitting a resident as they were cutting their grass on a lawn tractor.

The SUV reversed and took off south on Light St.

The driver of the lawn mower was not injured, but his tractor was damaged.

Police are looking for tips in solving the hit and run.

That was just one of several collisions on Saturday that included:

-2 vehicle crash at Dundas & Huron, Saturday at 12:55PM.  $8500 in damage, female passenger taken to hospital with minor injuries.  A 17-year-old was charged with failing to yield.

-2 vehicle crash at Devonshire & Vansittart, Saturday at 1:13PM.  No injuries, damage $2500.  Female driver charged for following too closely.

-Car and moped collision at Wellington & Grace, Saturday at 1:28PM.  Minor damage, no injuries.  Male driver charged with disobeying a stop sign.

-2 vehicle collision at Ingersoll Ave. & Light St., Saturday at 3:26PM.  No injuries, $15,000 in damage.  Male driver charged with disobeying a stop sign.

-2 vehicle collision at Main & Wilson, Saturday at 4:04PM.  No injuries, $3000 in damage.  17-year-old charged with changing lanes not in safety.

-2 vehicle collision at Vansittart & Hunter, Saturday at 5:18PM.  No injuries, $2000 in damage.  Male driver charged with disobeying a stop sign.
