What started out as a commercial vehicle blocking the entrance to a business, ended with impaired driving charges laid.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have charged a commercial vehicle operator from Brant County with impaired driving.
Police say a semi-tractor with a trailer was blocking the entrance to a business on Oxford Road 4 Monday evening. Officers were called out to the scene at around 7:00 p.m. and they found the driver unresponsive behind the wheel. The vehicle was also in gear at the time.
After further investigation, the officers determined that the 30-year-old man had been impaired by drugs. He's now facing one count of operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs and his licence has been suspended for 90 days.
Woodstock Police say Ontario has a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and drug use among commercial vehicle operators.
