All of the proceeds will help purchase fetal monitors for the Maternal Care Department at the Woodstock Hospital.
WOODSTOCK - The Dairy Capital Run is just around the corner for the Friendly City.
The annual fundraiser for the Woodstock Hospital Foundation will takeover Discovery Farm Woodstock on Saturday May 25th this year with an 8:30 a.m. start time.
Senior Development Officer Jocelyn Jenner says it's fun for the whole family.
"We're kind of positioning it as a fun walk and run, so you don't even have to be a runner to participate! You can come out and walk a 5K route, a 2K route, and we do have the Lil Hoofers Run for kids between the ages of two and six."
She adds the routes will be a bit different this year, compared to last year.
"It's a gravel road, but with fine gravel though so no big stones. It will be a lot easier than the grass routes we had in there last year."
The costume contest will also be making a comeback this year, with prizes going to the best dairy-themed outfits. Each participant will also walk away with a finisher's medal and shirt.
Those who are interested in signing up have until Wednesday May 22nd to register online here.
All of the money raised will be going to the Woodstock Hospital's Maternal Care Department to help purchase more fetal monitors.
Jocelyn Jenner called the Heart FM studio this morning to chat with Dan and Marcie. You can listen to the full interview below:
