A decision is expected June 24 into whether Tillsonburg resident Craig Vannatter will be given dangerous offender status
A 37 year old Tillsonburg man will find out in June whether he will be the latest person added to the dangerous offender list.
Convicted pedophile Craig Vannatter was back in court last week to discuss whether he met the criteria to be named a dangerous offender.
Vannatter was found guilty in March 2011 of the abduction and forcible confinement of a 5 year old girl in the washroom at the Tillsonburg arena back in 2009.
During the hearing, the assistant Crown Attorney said he would be seeking an indeterminate prison sentence for Vannatter, while the defence believed a sentence of time served as well as a series of probation orders would help to prevent further danger to the community.
Vannatter returns to a St Thomas courtroom June 24 when a decision is expected.
