TILLSONBURG - This is a last call for anyone thinking about submitting a nomination for Tilsonburg's Citizen of the Year Award.
All nomination forms have to be submitted before Monday March 31st a 4:30 p.m. and you can find the form online here.
The Citizen of the Year Award is presented to someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the community with no expectation of personal gain. This could be a local volunteer who has worked hard toward the betterment of the community.
Cultural, Heritage and Special Awards Advisory Committee looks over all of the nominations and selects the winner based on the length and impact of their service, the uniqueness of their efforts, the extent to which the nominee supported other people, and the challenges/barriers they had to face.
Perry Gosso won the award last year and Rosemary Dean won it in 2023.
