Deadline Looming for Woodstock Day at Rogers Centre Tickets

The Boys of Summer are back, and so too is Woodstock Day at Rogers Centre. The popular event has returned this year and will see more than 1000 locals head to Toronto to watch the Blue Jays take on the Seattle Mariners on May 4th. The event was put on hiatus last year, due to a scheduling conflict. But it's back and as popular as ever, thanks to the star power acquired by the Jays in making off-season trades and signings. City of Woodstock Communications and Special Events Manager Brad Janssen says there will be a large local presence at the game and not just in the stands. "We'll have the WCI Voices Choir performing the Canadian and American National Anthems prior to the game. And there will be a special presentation prior to the start of the game as well, involving a Blue Jays player or manager, but I have to keep that top secret at this point." Additionally, Janssen says all children aged 14 and under attending with the group will be entered into a draw to throw out the first pitch of the game. (Photo from previous year) Remaining tickets are $50 a person and include field levels seats near the third base line, and school bus transportation. He says there is no cap on the number of tickets the city can sell. "We want to fill as many buses as we can, and I can sell as many as I like, but you have until Friday to make that decision." Tickets can be purchased from the Woodstock Park and Rec Office, between the Community Complex and Fanshawe College, until 4:30 Friday afternoon.
