UPDATE: Murder Charge Laid in Waterford Homicide

There is no threat to public safety as the Norfolk OPP investigates a death on Mechanic Street in Waterford.

UPDATE 3: The Norfolk OPP has charged a 34-year-old Norfolk County resident with first degree murder.

Officers arrested Jordaine Anthony Lewis Wilson on Friday.

First Degree Murder charge laid in connection with the homicide of a 90-year-old woman of #Waterford. The #OPP arrested and charged the 34-year-old grandson of the victim. UPDATE 2: The Norfolk OPP is now treating the death of the 90-year-old woman as a homicide.

Police received the results of Marlene Wilson's autopsy on Tuesday, after her body was found in a home on Mechanic Street Sunday morning.

Anyone with information should call the Norfolk OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You can also submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

UPDATE 1: The Norfolk OPP is looking for witnesses, as officers investigate the death of a 90-year-old woman in Waterford.

Her identity has not been released at this time and an autopsy will be conducted in order to determine her exact cause of death.

WATERFORD - A death investigation is underway in Waterford.

The Norfolk OPP responded to a report of a death at a home on Mechanic Street at around 8:20 a.m. yesterday.

Police say there is no threat to public safety and you can expect a heavy police presence in the area.

No further details have been released at this time.
