As of this time tomorrow; Oxford will have it's MPP.
OXFORD COUNTY - Provincial election day has finally arrived.
Oxford County residents will head to the polls today, to pick their favourite candidate for MPP.
Heart FM reporters hit up Downtown Woodstock yesterday afternoon, to ask people who they will be voting for.
Woodstock resident Aaron Anthony Cywink says he will be voting NDP.
"I was always a fan of Jack Layton and I just feel if the party is going to be following in his footsteps then that could be the right way to go."
Sweaburg resident Janet Pickard says she's voting for Conservative MPP Ernie Hardeman.
"I'm going with Ernie because I believe that Ernie does well for us locally. So that's where my heart is at the moment."
Connie Smith of Woodstock admits she doesn't know who to pick.
"I am so confused by what's going on with who's saying what and what the true facts are so I'm really undecided. Until I can actually get some truth out of these people, then I might not even vote because it's too confusing right now."
There were nine different candidates registered when campaigning. They are as follows;
MPP Ernie Hardeman - PC Party
Tara King - New Democratic Party
James Howard - Liberal Party
Al de Jong - Green Party
Robert Van Ryswyck - Ontario Party
Tim Hodges - Freedom Party
Chris Swift - Libertarian Party
Noah Walsh - Alliance Party (candidate has dropped out of election)
Dave Sikal - Independent
The polls will close at 9 p.m.
