INGERSOLL - Oxford County is well represented at the World Women's Hockey Championship in Calgary.
Ingersoll's Ella Shelton is playing left defence for the Canucks. After 2 games, team Canada is undefeated and has out scored their opponents 10-4. Shelton had some fun getting in on the action as well with her first goal of the tournament and her first goal ever for Team Canada.

They face a tough test tonight against Switzerland. The puck drops at 6:00 pm and you can watch the game on TSN.
Shelton grew up in the Town of Ingersoll, eventually moving south to play NCAA hockey for the Clarkson Golden Knights, serving as the captain for her senior year.
Shelton led the Golden Knights in blocked shots with 81 during her junior year. She was also named a finalist for the ECAC's Best Defenseman Award during her senior year.
