They'll be celebrating all things Scottish in Embro for the Highland Games
EMBRO - The Embro Highland Games promises to have something for everyone.
Things start on Thursday night this year with a fireworks show. Then on Canada Day they will have piping, dancing competitions, vintage cars, Scottish clans, and the road race. Secretary of the Games Warren McKay tells Heart FM they will have all of the Scottish traditions.
"The Ontario Championship Heavy Event, the Memorial Tug-O-War, the major pipe band competition as well as the highland dance competition."
He adds they have plenty of events for the kids as well.
"Youth athletics, games for small children, an indoor area where they can draw and do crafts and we have the road race - a 10 km race along with a 2 km youth run."
All of the competitions will take place on Canada Day at the Embro-West Zorra Community Centre.
