Federal Election Day in Oxford County

The polls will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

OXFORD COUNTY - By this time tomorrow, we'll know who will be the next Member of Parliament for Oxford County and the next Prime Minister of Canada.

It's federal election day and the polls will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.. Voters cards have been mailed out with information about local polling stations, but you can also find that information on the Election's Canada website if you type in your address.

You have to bring your drivers licence or another piece of government photo ID with you to vote. You can also bring in two pieces of ID with your name on it, but at least one of them must have your current address. Some examples include student your voter information card, a utility bill, a bank statement, or a student ID card.

If you don't have any forms of ID to present, you can declare your identity and address in writing and have someone who is assigned to your voting station vouch for you. That person will also have to provide their identity and their address.

We have eight candidates running here in Oxford County. You can find the complete list below, along with links to their candidate profile stories with Heart FM.
