LONDON/WOODSTOCK - It has been just over a year since the assault charges against former Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch started making headlines.
He's currently facing one count of assault and two counts of sexual assault in that case, plus another three counts of sexual assault in a second case that came to light in April 2022. Both of the investigations were handled by the London Police Service.
He is due back in a virtual London courtroom to answer to both sets of charges and Heart FM will be covering the appearance.
Birtch served as the Mayor of Woodstock for two terms. He was first elected in 2014 and was re-elected in 2018, but he finished in fourth place in the 2022 mayoral race.
