The rapid tests will be delivered through local Chamber of Commerce and the Woodstock Chamber has confirmed they have signed up for the program.
WOODSTOCK - Ontario is working with the Federal Government to launch the COVID-19 Rapid Screening Initiative for small and medium sized businesses across the Province.
The program will provide free rapid antigen tests for employees of small and medium-sized businesses through participating local chambers of commerce and other organizations. The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce has already confirmed they will be participating in the program and they are still working out some of the details. We will have more on this with them in the next week.
Minister of Economic Development Vic Fedeli says they did a pilot project in Waterloo Region and it was a big success.
“With the success of the StaySafe Rapid Testing Pilot in Waterloo Region, expanding rapid testing to small and medium-sized businesses across the province will help keep people working and safe. Adding rapid antigen testing to the arsenal of protections for small and medium-sized businesses, especially in regions with hot spots, is one more important step towards keeping businesses open and economic recovery."
The Rapid Testing kits are being delivered as we speak. Already about 7.6 million have distributed throughout the Province.
