Starting January 28th families in Oxford County will be able to save money by lowering their energy bills.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Ontario Government is launching the Home Savings Renovations Program geared to save Oxford County families money.
The program will launch on January 28th and offer rebates of up to 30% for home energy efficiency improvements.
This would include new windows, doors, insulation, air sealing, smart thermostats, heat pumps, as well as rooftop solar panels, and battery storage systems for people who want to generate and store energy at home.
MPP for Oxford County Ernie Hardeman stated that all Oxford County residents will have access to lower their energy bills.
Later in 2025, the program will expand to include rebates for energy-efficient appliances, including refrigerators and freezers. The goal by 2036, is that this expansion will reduce the province’s peak demand that would be the equivalent of taking three million homes off the grid.
