Ingersoll Council gave a nod of support to bring a major trade show to Oxford County.
INGERSOLL - It may be two years away but Oxford County municipalities are throwing support behind the 2017 Association of Ontario Road Supervisors Municipal Trade Show being proposed in the County.
The show requires significant planning and assistance and that is what the Town of Ingersoll is providing from staff who will be working closely to plan the event.
Ingersoll Town Engineer Sandra Lawson said, "It's a trade show of public work entities and they want to host it in Woodstock at the Canada Outdoor Farm (Show) site in June of 2017."
The event would be a major economic draw to the county, with attendance expected to be around 2000. "It's a great opportunity for Oxford County to showcase all its trades and its public works entities."
Over 200 exhibitors would combine for 300 booths.
The two day event would take place the first week of June in 2017.
