Multiple police services were involved with a drug bust in London. Among the group were members of the Oxford-Brant Community Street Crime Unit.
LONDON - Members of the OPP Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit have arrested two people following a drug investigation in the City of London.
On August 23, 2023 at approximately 4:30 p.m., CSCU members, with the assistance of the London Police Service Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit executed a search warrant on a vehicle in a parking lot at a Hamilton Road address and took one person into custody.
Shortly after, Elgin-Middlesex and Oxford-Brant CSCU members, along with the LPS ERU executed a second warrant at a residence on Sasha Crescent in London.
Police arrested one individual and seized approximately two kilograms of suspected cocaine, scales, packaging material, 9mm ammunition, cell phones and a large quantity of currency. The estimated street value of seized illicit drugs and offence-related property is $110,000. Photos of the seized items are included in this media release.
Joshua REYES, 26-years-old of London is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. Brooklyn CLEMENTS-CARD, 27-years-old of London is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Both individuals attended the Ontario Court of Justice in London for a bail hearing on August 24, 2023. The investigation remains ongoing.
