Anxious moments at the Oxford County Courthouse today. The jury in the John Robinson murder trial are into their 8th hour of deliberations (at 12:00PM). They are debating whether or not Robinson is guilty of 1st or 2nd degree murder in the death of Clifford Fair. Or whether he's not guilty at all. Robinson has pleaded guilty to indignity to a body, after Fair's dismembered remains were found buried in the backyard of the home where Robinson lived. Robinson admitted on the stand to hitting Fair twice in the head with a steel pipe, but he claimed he wrapped the pipe in a towel and duct tape to soften the blow, and that he didn't mean to kill Fair. The Crown has contended Robinson knew what he was doing, and never made efforts to call for help as Fair died on his livingroom floor. Heart FM will have the verdict, and reaction, when it comes in.
