Acting Sargeant Ed Sanchuk says two people went overboard on Sunday evening around 8 and a family member called police when they didn't come home.
"Members of the Marine Unit, in conjunction with the JRCC and the Canadian Coast Guard began to search the waters of Lake Erie. Members of the Coast Guard found both people floating in the water at around 9:45 that night, 2 kilometres east of Pottahawk."
Both people were hypothermic and taken to the hospital for treatment. Sanchuk says he is certain, life jackets saved two lives this weekend.
