They are reminding shoppers to keep your vehicles locked at all times, even if your just running into a store for a couple of minutes.
Woodstock Police are also offering these helpful reminders to avoid becoming a victim:
1. Ensure your doors are always locked
2. Always park in well lit areas
3. Never leave money in plain sight
4. Always roll up your car windows
5. Put shopping bags and other items in the trunk
6. Never leave your spare key or GPS in the car
7. Keep your vehicle registration certificate and proof of insurance on you
8. Take all electronics with you
9. Don't leave your car unattended while it is running this winter
