Virginia Armstrong will officially retire on July 8th and Judith Fleming will become the Interim Manager of the Downtown Woodstock BIA.
WOODSTOCK - The Manager of the Downtown Woodstock BIA has decided to take a step back.
Virginia Armstong will officially retire on July 8th, after working with the BIA for the past 4.5 years.
She has been a strong advocate for downtown businesses over the years. She also has a long list of accomplishments which includes the creation of the Where to Find Help in the Downtown postcard and securing funding from the County to clean up the downtown.
Armstrong has also coordinated a lot of events over the years, including the largest and longest Downtown Summer Streetfest Woodstock had ever seen in 2019.
She says the decision to retire was not an easy one, but she's excited to see what the her next chapter holds. She's looking forward to travelling and spending more time family and friends.
Armstrong says she is going to miss all of the wonderful people she has worked with during her time with the Downtown Woodstock BIA. Judith Fleming, the Assistant Manager for the BIA, will be stepping up as Interim Manager once Armstrong retires.
