The Ford Government is increasing Oxford County's land ambulance funding by three percent.
OXFORD COUNTY - That's $8,149,782 for land ambulance services here in Oxford County.
Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman says the province increasing the base funding for our ambulances by three percent.
"This increase in base funding will help Oxford emergency services address increased costs so their paramedics can continue to deliver high-quality emergency care. It’s important to all of us that they are equipped to provide exceptional, patient-focused emergency care in our community, each and every day.”
The Ford Government says the provincial ambulance offload time has been reduced by more than 50 percent since its peak in October 2022. This is thanks to the Dedicated Offload Nurses Program, which looks to hire more nurses and other healthcare professionals to help off-load ambulance patients in hospital emergency rooms.
Our government is making sure that we continue to deliver fast, high-quality emergency care. That's why we increased our investment in land ambulances in Oxford by 3% to over $8.1 million. This funding will help increase the availability of ambulances.https://t.co/YOMZ2BBJfh
