A mother from Woodstock called 9-1-1 to ask police to bring her 17 year old daughter home from a friends house.
WOODSTOCK - A mother from Woodstock called 9-1-1 to ask police if they could bring her daughter home, who was staying over night with friends.
The mom told police she did not give her daughter permissions to stay over night at the home in Zorra Township. Officers checked on the teenager and found that everything was fine and called the mother back. It was determined that the same female has contacted police in the past on several occasions looking for police to pick her daughter up to give her a ride home.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says it's important for parents to make arrangements with their kids beforehand.
"The OPP are urging all parents and caregivers to sit down and speak to their children about the importance of communication and making sure that they have made arrangements or have an alternate means of transportation in order to return home safely."
