PORT DOVER - Lots of motorcycles will be heading to Port Dover today for Friday the 13th.
In a video posted on the OPP West Region Twitter page, Sergeant Ed Sanchuk had some tips for motorcyclists hitting the roads.
"For motorcycle operators, no lane splitting, make sure you pay attention to your surroundings, wear high visibility clothing so you're visible to the motoring public, signal your lane changes, and make sure you get where you're going safely. You should also act in a safe, mature, and responsible manner so you can get home safely to your family."
He also had some tips for drivers out there.
"Please signal your turns, make sure you wear your seatbelt, and check your blind spots when you come up to intersections and that goes for everybody motorcyclists included. Please check twice because it's going to save a life and prevent a collision."
There will be an increased Norfolk OPP presence in the Port Dover area today.
